Outline for Mid-Term

Thesis- This year in English 112 I believe I have learned and worked hard enough for an A for the first half of the semester. I have learned a lot more this first semester and have improved my unpolished skills from English 111. I have learned how to use rhetoric more in depth in my essays, how to use the writing process to my advantage, difference between primary and secondary sources, how to write good thesis statements.

First Paragraph-
Use my essay i wrote in English and History to show how I used rhetoric to my advantage by knowing who the author was to write my message and publish it. Explain the rhetorical triangle. Use my notes to explain it and use paragraphs to go more in depth and use examples.

Second Paragraph-
The writing process is a big improvement I have made. It has made me realize that I can use pre-writing to help me write my papers. I also have the process in my notes and can use that to show that I have the process down.

Third Paragraph-
I have learned a lot about primary and secondary sources. In my last paper I used both to give evidence to support my idea. I have note cards to show where I got the quotes from. I can use both that paragraph, the black book, primary source book and notes to give evidence to this paragraph.

Fourth Paragraph-
Thesis analysis- I have improved my thesis writing. We have done a lot of work on the thesises this year. We have done some out of class assignments as well as in class assignments. I also wrote a thesis on my first paragraph and it was pretty strong.

Fifth Paragrph-
Conclusion that sums up everything I have learned.
